One of the things we've always tried to do with our kids is let them explore the things they're interested in and see where those interests take them.
Sometimes that means helping with one of our house projects.
Sometimes it's building something.
And sometimes... it's nails. 💅
Wait... these were only $5?! 🎀💅
My daughter has been practicing doing nails, and these little charms were one of her recent finds.
She's Been Getting Into Doing Nails
My daughter has been learning more about doing nails lately, and she's talked about possibly doing something with nails in the future.
Maybe becoming a nail tech.
Maybe even turning it into a little business someday.
Who knows where it will go, but that's kind of the point.
When one of our kids gets interested in something, we like to give them a chance to learn it, try it and see if it's something they really want to keep doing.
Some interests stick.
Some don't.
But you never know which one might turn into something bigger later on.
Her $5 Nail Charm Find
These were one of the things she picked out to use while practicing.
They're a mix of cute pink and white nail charms with things like bows, flowers, pearls and other little details.
And for around $5, she was pretty excited about them.
A quick look at the nail charms she picked out and tried.

The Reel is just the quick version.
She also made a longer review showing the nail charms and talking more about what she thought of them.
Letting the Kids Explore What They Like
This is actually one of the parts of Unlikely Flips that I want to share more of.
Our projects aren't always just renovations or things my husband and I are working on.
A lot of the time, they're things the kids are learning too.
We've always liked giving them opportunities to try different things and figure out what they're good at, what they enjoy and what they might want to do someday.
So if she's interested in nails right now, we'll help her learn more about nails.
If it eventually turns into something she wants to do professionally, great.
If she decides later that she wants to do something completely different, that's okay too.
For now, she's learning, practicing and having fun with it.
Maybe it's just a $5 box of nail charms.
Or maybe someday we'll look back and realize this was part of where one of her first business ideas started.
More Than Just House Projects
That's really what Unlikely Flips is becoming for us.
It's the house projects, the renovations, the things we find and resell, the stuff we try, and the different things our kids are learning along the way.
