We've done quite a few outdoor projects over the years, and I'm always looking for simple things that make a space feel a little more finished and inviting.
Lighting is one of the easiest ways I've found to do that.
These lanterns give us something decorative during the day, but I especially like how they look once the sun goes down.
The warm light instantly makes the area feel cozier without having to do a major project.

How They Look at Night
This is definitely one of those products where I think seeing it in use makes a difference.
During the daytime, they're a nice decorative addition to the outdoor space.
But nighttime is when I really like them.
Once they're glowing, the whole area feels warmer and a little more romantic.
It's a really simple change, but those are sometimes my favorite kinds of updates — the ones that don't require completely redoing a space to make it feel different.

The difference they make after dark. It's such an easy way to make an ordinary outdoor area feel a little more special.

Small Changes Can Make a Big Difference
I think that's one of the reasons I like little projects like this so much.
Not everything has to be a full renovation.
Sometimes adding some lighting, moving a few things around or finding one little detail that was missing is enough to make a space feel completely different.
And in this case, apparently all we needed was a little instant backyard romance. 😂
