Leia brought a lizard inside, and apparently she had no intention of letting her new little discovery go unnoticed. 😂
What started as a cat proudly carrying something into the house turned into a whole little adventure — including the lizard playing dead, suddenly taking off again, and eventually pulling off a pretty impressive escape.
Cat vs. lizard.
One curious cat. One very determined lizard. And one dramatic ending. 😂
Leia and the lizard during their very dramatic little adventure.
Leia Brought the Lizard Inside
Leia found the lizard outside and brought it into the house.
And once it was inside, she was completely fascinated with it.
She played with it for a while, following it around and watching every little move it made.
The lizard, understandably, was probably having a very different experience. 😂
Then the Lizard Played Dead
After Leia had been playing with it for a while, the lizard suddenly stopped moving.
It looked like it had decided that playing dead was the best defense it had left.
For a little bit, even Leia seemed unsure about what was happening.
But apparently the lizard was not finished yet.

The Lizard Suddenly Started Running Again
Just when it looked like the lizard might be done, it suddenly came back to life and started running again.
Of course, Leia immediately went right back to playing with it.
At that point, the whole thing started all over again.
The lizard would move, Leia would follow, and neither one seemed ready to give up.
The lizard's plan, apparently:
Play dead. Wait. Start running again. Hope for the best. 😂
Then Came the Great Escape
Eventually, Leia got ready to pounce on it again.
And that was the moment the lizard finally got its chance.
It flew through the air far enough away from Leia that it created just enough distance to get away.
After all of that — being carried inside, played with, playing dead, and starting the chase all over again — the little guy actually escaped.
I have to give it credit. That was a pretty good ending. 😂
Just Another Adventure With Leia
Leia always seems to find something interesting when she's exploring.
Some days she's just wandering around checking everything out.
Other days she comes inside carrying a lizard and creates an entire storyline before I've even had time to process what's happening.
That's one of the reasons I've been sharing more of her little adventures lately. You really never know what she's going to get into next.
Does your cat do this too? 😂
Would your cat have let the lizard escape, or would the chase still be going?
